4. Amazon Mechanical Turk

You’re probably wondering what’s MTurk and how is it connected with Amazon?

It’s a crowdsourcing website that makes it easier for businesses to outsource their jobs to people who can perform them virtually.

Think of it as an online job portal. You can find jobs that relate to survey participation, data validation, online research, and content moderation.

Wondering what to expect in MTurk?

Are you familiar with the CAPTCHA system?

Or have you been asked to identify photos with cars in them?

While technology improves, it still needs the human touch.

Traditionally, these tasks are performed by a large workforce. But many businesses find it expensive, not to mention time-consuming and difficult to scale.

So to save up on overhead costs, these companies found a solution in crowdsourcing.

This is where MTurk comes in.

The website features the types of jobs that require human intervention, or as Amazon calls it the HITs or Human Intelligence Tasks.

From conducting data validation to streamlining business processes, these are the types of tasks you will perform. It’s beyond a computer (or a robot) to identify or do these things. But the tasks are quite easy though.

Why do I like MTurk?

This website is very upfront. It tells you how much each job pays, and the jobs are quite easy to complete.

And if you’re efficient, you can increase your hourly rate.

As you go on with the tasks, you will become better and quicker at it. So it won’t be long to have you earning higher rates.

5. Zaarly

Are you looking for a site that matches your skills with available jobs?

Check out Zaarly.

This site is similar to Task Rabbit.

Zaarly helps small businesses look for people who might be interested in performing certain tasks, which range from doing landscaping work to photography.

The great thing about Zaarly is that you, as the service provider, can set up your own rates.

If you’re offering a service that no one else in your area is providing, then you can up it. On the other hand, if there are many who are providing the same service, you can lower yours.

Zaarly doesn’t just offer these odd jobs. The site is also a great place to find work with companies who are looking for highly technical or skilled employees.

6. EasyShift App

Looking for jobs that are easy and quick to complete?

EasyShift is one of the best apps for odd jobs that let you explore your community. Your tasks may include getting paid to eat or shop, check prices at certain stores, or find out about deals and promotions.

Wondering what to expect in EasyShift App?

This app combines online work by completing tasks offline. You’ll go to stores and restaurants and check on their promos and prices.

One of the tasks may include taking a photo of the storefront or verify if certain items are on sale.

It’s fast and easy.

7. GigWalk

Want to earn up to $100 or more for one completed task?

Sign up with GigWalk and get access to gigs in your area.

The featured jobs on the site are from retailers and brands that need you to check their products (including the prices, displays, and promos) from across several locations.

To document your work, you will need to check-in with each location. You will also take photos that are geo-tagged.

After completing your task, you will get your payment through PayPal.

What do I like about Gigwalk?

You get the option to work when you want to and where. Simply scroll down through the available tasks and see if it’s in places where it’s convenient for you to go to.

GigWalk won’t force you to take a gig.

You can choose which gigs to take. Each task may take between five minutes to a couple of hours to complete.

The short gigs may make you a couple of bucks. But the longer ones may take you up to a hundred big ones or even more.

8. Field Agent

Like EasyShift App, Field Agent centers around local tasks. You will need to physically visit the venues to perform the work.

Among the tasks in Field Agent include taking pics or checking the prices of products at certain local shops.

There’s also a “scavenger hunt” gig that lets you hunt down certain products to get answers to questions connected with the task.

Some tasks may not pay out much, but they’re fun, quick, and easy to do. Which is why I think Field Agent is one of the best apps for odd jobs.

  1. I found the same ones on Google… taskrabbit you need to have at least an iphone 8.
Fiverr says it all… $5 come on!!
    No help from here…

    1. Hey Karen!

Take a deeper look at fiverr. They aren’t all $5. I’ve personally hired people on fiverr for much more than that. The ones that are $5 are usually quick tasks that you could do multiple in an hour.
